Comparative analysis of preference and purchase intention with the mediating factors of the utilization of lightweight real estate: Focusing on the case of container housing

The city consists of various elements of the surrounding environment, including buildings and functional facilities that connect them. Among these factors, buildings are representative rigid objects, and their movement is restricted over a long period of time, and active response to more diverse changes in the times is restricted according to the characteristics of these real estate. Recently, modular architecture, which has escaped from expensive buildings, has been used as a substitute for existing rigid real estate, and compared to existing new buildings, it has advantages such as shortening air, recycling materials, and reducing costs. In particular, architecture using containers similar to modular architecture is attracting attention as a new spatial function. Overseas, since the 2000s, it has been introduced as an alternative to new spatial utilization with the advantages of eco-friendly and recyclable, flexible mobility and usability, and has expanded to residential, commercial, office, culture, education, and dormitory spaces along with traditional industrial logistics functions. In this study, cases of using various containers in terms of the usability of new flexible spaces were examined, and the limitations of incorporating them into the situation in Korea and the sustainability of container housing as a living space were analyzed in various visual aspects. Variables were derived through previous studies and expert opinions, logistic regression analysis was conducted to verify whether there is a demand for practical development projects based on factor analysis, and the higher the income level, the more significant the demand for residential container housing.
