학교급별 청소년의 지역사회에 관한 인식이 학교폭력 두려움에 미치는 영향

Effect of Perception of Local Environment on Fear of School Violence by School Level

이 연구에서는 청소년들의 학교폭력 두려움에 대한 지역사회 인식의 영향력에 대해 살펴보았다. 서울시 초·중·고 각 1개교 총 464명을 대상으로 연구를실시하였다. 연구결과 개인적 특성(성별, 자존감)과 사회적지지 요인(부모·또래· 교사지지)을 통제한 후에도, 지역에 대한 인식이 학교폭력 두려움을 유의미하게 설명하는 것으로 나타났다. 무질서에 대한 인식은 학교급과 상관없이 학교폭력 두려움에 정적인 예측을 보였다. 비공식적 사회통제는 고등학생에게만학교폭력 두려움과 부적인 관계를 나타냈다. 지역 유대감의 경우, 초등학생에게는 부적으로 고등학생에게는 정적으로 예측하는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 학교폭력 예방을 위한 정책적 접근에 있어서 지역사회의 역할에 대한 강조가필요하며, 학교급에 따른 차별적 접근이 필요하다는 점을 시사한다.

The purpose of this study is to identify the effect of adolescent’s perception of local environment(social disorder, social informal control and community attachment) on fear of school violence. A total of 464 responses was analyzed. The results showed that perception on social disorder is significantly positively related to fear of school violence regardless of school grade. Social informal control is negatively related to fear of school violence for only high school students. Regarding the relation between community attachment and fear of school violence, different pattern appears for elementary and high school students. The study implies the necessity of adopting a different administrative approach on school violence prevention and invention with consideration on age or school grade.
