인공지능디자인의 사례를 통한 특성에 관한 연구

A Study on the Characteristics of Artificial Intelligence Design Cases

최근 들어 4차 산업혁명 시대를 대표하는 기술인 인공 지능으로 인해 인간의 삶이 질적으로 증진할 것이라는 기대와 우려의 목소리가 커지고 있다. 이러한 현상은 디자인 분야에서도 나타나고 있어 인공지능디자인의 현황을 살펴볼 중요한 시점이라고 판단하였다. 연구의 방법은 이론적 배경으로 디자인의 개념과 프로세스, 그리고 인공지능의 개념과 인공지능디자인을 조사하였다. 연구의 주제인 인공지능디자인 특성을 도출하기 위하여 사례조사와 홈페이지를 통한 디자인 제작 등의 방법으로 인공지능 디자인의 특성을 도출하고, 전문디자이너 인터 뷰를 토대로 인공지능디자인의 특성을 최종 검증하였다. 결론적으로 효율성, 경제성, 기능성, 다양성의 4가지 특성을 도출하였고 인공지능이 갖추지 못한 능력을 알아 보았다. 이를 통해 인공지능디자인 프로세스와 인공지능 시대의 디자이너 역할에 대한 방향을 제안하였다. 본 연구를 토대로 하여 인공지능디자인이 사용자와 공감하는 방향으로 나아가고 인공지능 시대가 요구하는 능력을 갖춘 디자이너로 성장할 수 있기를 기대한다.

Recently, there have been growing expectations and concerns that artificial intelligence technology, a key technology in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, will enhance human life qualitatively. This phenomenon is also appearing in the design field, so it was judged to be an important time to examine the current status of artificial intelligence design. The research method investigated the concept and process of design, the concept of artificial intelligence, and artificial intelligence design as a theoretical background. In order to derive the characteristics of artificial intelligence design, which is the subject of the study, the characteristics of artificial intelligence design were derived through case studies and design production through the homepage, and the characteristics of artificial intelligence design were finally verified based on professional designer interviews. In conclusion, four characteristics were derived: efficiency, economy, functionality, and diversity, and the capabilities that artificial intelligence did not have were investigated. Through this, the direction of the artificial intelligence design process and the designer role in the artificial intelligence era was proposed. Based on this study, it is expected that artificial intelligence design can move toward empathy with users and grow into a designer with the capabilities required by the artificial intelligence era.
