중학교 자유학기제 미술교육에 관한 연구 - 국립현대미술관 서울관의 학교연계 프로그램을 중심으로 -

A Study on Middle School’s Free Semester System - Focusing on National Museum of Contemporary Art for Collaboration with School Education

초록

2009년 개정 7차 미술과 교육과정에서 진로탐색 교육을중요시하는 분위기가 점차 형성되고 있다. 자유학기제는청소년들의 꿈과 끼를 찾아주는 학생 참여 유형의 교육과정으로, 진로탐색 활동을 포함한 다양한 체험활동을운영하는 제도이다. 미술관은 그 개념 자체에 ‘교육적’ 성격을 내포하고 있다는 점에서 공교육과 동일한 맥락을 가지고 있는데, 최근에는 미술관 그 자체로서 교육기관의 역할을 수행하기때문에 미술관의 교육적 역할과 성격이 확장되고 다변화되어 공공교육 및 평생학습의 장으로 점차 진화하고 있다. 따라서 미술관과 같은 전문적인 기관을 탐구 및 분석한 데이터를 현재 학교 미술교육 현장에 적용시켜 초중고 전반에 걸친 진로탐색에 도움이 될 수 있도록 해야할 것이다. 본 연구는 중학교 한 학급의 인원을 대상으로 실제적인학교연계 프로그램을 보유한 미술관 중 국립현대미술관을 중심으로 분석하였다. 중등 미술 진로교육과의 연관된 맥락을 파악하고, 자유학기제 취지에 맞는 국립현대미술관의 교수-학습 및 계획 수립 방법을 분석하여 미술기관과 교육 현장의 연계학습의 중요성을 강조하고자 하였다.

In the 7th art curriculum that was revised in 2009, atmosphere that education and career exploration are important gradually formed. Free semester system is a type of student participation training course. This particular system helps find the dreams and talents of teenaged students. Also, it operates a variety of experiential activities, including career exploration activities. Museum and public education has the same context that implies 'educational' of the concept itself. In recent years, in order to perform the role of an educational institution, the educational role and the diversifying personality of the museum has been extended, the museum itself is gradually evolving as an educational venue where public education and lifelong learning takes place. therefore, the data analyzed and studied by the specialized agencies, such as the art museum, should be applied in the field of art education. This data will help the overall school career exploration. In this study, I analyzed a National Museum of Contemporary Art’s junior high school Free Semester System. By understanding the relevant context of the secondary art career education, for purpose of Free semester system, I want to emphasize the importance of junior high school education program cooperating with the National Museum of Contemporary Art’s Junior high school education by analyzing the National Museum of Modern Art's planning and learning method.
