Hand Hooking을 활용한 의자 디자인에 관한 연구

A Study of Chair Design Utilizing Hand Hooking

의자는 우리에게 밀접한 관계에 있으며 다양한 용도에따른 구조와 디자인을 가지고 있다. 앉거나 기댈 수 있는 등 다양한 자세에 따라 팔걸이가 있거나 스툴, 누울수 있는 의자, 흔들의자 등 여러 가지 형태로 분류되고, 사용 목적에 따라 사무용, 학습용, 식사용 등 다양하게나누어진다. 의자를 디자인함에 있어 다른 가구보다 인체와 직접 접촉이 잦다는 점을 중요하게 생각해야한다. 그로인해 의자에서도 마찰이 잦은 부분에는 사용자의 편안함과 장기적 사용을 위해 다양한 패브릭을 사용한다. 그러나 지속성, 편의성, 실용성을 더욱 중요하게 생각하여 의자에 사용되는 패브릭은 대게 짜임이 강하거나 잦은 마찰에도 충분히 견딜 수 있는 종류들로 한정되고 있다. 본 연구는 기존의 패브릭을 사용하는 방법과 다르게 Hand Hooking이란 기법을 연구를 통해 더욱 다양한 소재의 활용을 알아본다. 그리고 평면적인 기존의 패브릭의자와 다르게 다양한 볼륨과 색상 등을 연출하며 구조성이 강조된 의자보다 표현의 제약을 없앤다.

Chair has close relationship with us and have various structures and design in accodrance with usage. These variations divided with looks, as tilted, armed, stool, laied, rocking, and classified in purpose of use of at the office, study, and dinning. By desining a chair, it must be considered as the direct contact with the human body more than any other furniture. By this reason, chair uses a fabric where the friction is frequent, comforting, and the long-term uses. However persistent, convenience, and practicability is more used due to the fabrics frequent frictions. In this study, through research of Hand Hooking technique one will find more various materials. Unlike the planar existing fabric chair before, through this study, I will use on the varieties of colors, and volumes. By this varieties, I will get out on the restrictions in expression on chair.
