국내 가구 대표기업의 업사이클링 적용 현황에 관한 연구

A Study on The Application Upcycling State of The Domestic Representative Furniture Firm

환경오염에 대한 심각성으로 자원순환을 목적으로 하는업사이클링 개념이 하나의 친환경 트렌드로 자리 잡았다. 본 연구에서는 가장 활성화 된 분야인 업사이클링 가구에 대해 조사하였다. 국내는 관련 산업이 아직 초기단계로 정부의 여러 지원 정책이 시행되고 있지만 관련 기업들은 대체로 영세하다. 그래도 그 중 잠재가능성이 큰 업사이클링 가구 기업 조사 결과 지속가능한 경영 철학을 바탕으로 폐가구들을수거, 해체, 가공하여 제품을 만들고 있었다. 이 조사를 기준으로 현재 가구 시장을 선도하는 대표기업들의 친환경 정책들과 그 중 대표기업의 제품에 업사이클링 개념을 적용하는지 분석해보았는데 새집증후군이 이슈화 된이후로 친환경 자재에만 초점을 맞추고 있었다. 그나마 리바트는 업사이클 개념을 적용하여 제품으로 만들었고 에이스는 해외 유명 업사이클링 가구를 유통하고있지만 미약하다. 정부의 지원과 소비자들의 인식의 변화가 업사이클링 가구산업의 환경을 만들고 대표기업들이 필요성을 인식해야한다.

Upcycling is a relatively new concept of eco-friendly design. This study aims to research upcycling furniture industry as it is one of the most robust fields. The domestic upcycling industry is on the baby step. so The government enforce the supporting upcycling policy for the industry. Although related companies are almost small, there are some companies have potential possibility. They create the furnitures based on the sustainable management philosophy. Based on this standards, I researched the application upcycling state of the representative furniture firm. But they focus on the eco-friendly material after sick house syndrome. At least Livart applies the upcycling concept and make the related products. ACE distributes the famous upcycling furniture from foreign brands. But these facts can't meet the upcycling market. it is important for upcycling market that the supporting policy for upcycling and changes of consumer awareness. As a result, this environment can make representative furniture firms focus on the upcycling market.
