본 연구는 다음과 같은 두 가지 목적을 갖는다. 첫 번째 목적은 확률을 어떠한 방식으로 정의할수 있는지에 대하여 널리 알려진 주요 관점에 기초하여 살펴보고 그 근본적인 가정과 한계를살펴보는 것이다. 두 번째 목적은 확률 교수 학습의 대안적 관점으로 논의되고 있는 모델링 관점을 확률 교수 학습에 접목하기 위한 이론적인 틀을 도출하는 것이다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 확률 교수 학습에 모델링을 접목하고자 시도한 선행 연구의 이론적 틀을 비판적으로 고찰하고 부분적으로 수정한 방안을 제안한다.
The purpose of this study is twofold. The first is to examine how probabilities can be defined, based on the main widely known views, and to identify their underlying assumptions and limitations. The second is to derive a theoretical framework for grafting the modeling viewpoint, which is being discussed as an alternative viewpoint of probability teaching and learning, to probability teaching and learning. To achieve the purpose of this study, we critically examine the theoretical framework of previous studies that attempted to apply modeling to probability teaching and learning, and propose a partially modified method.
