In this study, this researcher realized the fact that speaking is most difficult for students among the four language functions of Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing, and its importance. Accordingly, this study was conducted to examine the method to educate Chinese speaking efficiently. The purpose of speaking education is to acquire as much of linguistic elements as possible for expression, to be skilled through repetitive exercises, and to enable students to speak readily and clearly. With regard to the types of speaking activities, Brown's most widely known 6 types of imitative, intensive, responsive, transactional dialogue, interpersonal dialogue and extensive monologue were described in detail. The imitative, intensive and responsive speaking stage can be seen to focus on the linguistic aspects of limited speaking activities that recognize and internalize the pronunciation, vocabulary and grammar of a foreign language and provide simple answers to questions. The transactional dialogue, interpersonal dialogue and extensive monologue stage can be said to use language functions, which is the step of understanding the other's words and expressing their intention in real situations or similar situations. In other words, the linguistic aspect focuses on the accuracy of speech, and the linguistic aspect focuses on the fluency of speaking. The specific examples of speaking types can be classified into pronunciation exercises, vocabulary exercises, sentence replacement exercises, sentence extension exercises, sentence completion exercises, conversation situation exercises, sentence composition exercises, listening and speaking, discussion, storytelling, and role plays.
