A study of poetry in script for story-telling of the of Song Dynasty: Focusing on Kyomoto Popular Novels and Qingping shantang script for story-telling

The script for story-telling in Song Dynasty is a leap in the history of Chinese novels. In it's system, a large number of poems are used as the beginning, middle and end of the chapter. The tradition of script for story-telling had a far-reaching influence on later novels. For many years, the poetry in script for story-telling is in an awkward position, has drifted away from the vision of poetics and fiction, and the academic criticism is too strong. Therefore, the author selects 21 extant script for story-telling of Song Dynasty in Kyomoto Popular Novels and Qingping shantang script for story-telling as object, and investigates the phenomenon of poetry fusion in script for story-telling of Song Dynasty by means of close reading and statistical analysis。The first is the statistics and summary of the phenomenon of poetry fusion. In the novels selected by the author, there are 381 poems, with an average of 18 places in each article, and the penetration rate of poetry is almost one fifth of the length. Secondly, it analyzes these poems. Finally, it extracts the value of poetry from four aspects: first, it inherits the tradition of poetry and Sao; second, it provides a basis for the textual research of poetry; third, it makes the life of the world refined; fourth, it is a picture of the festival and custom life of the citizens in Song Dynasty. Therefore, We should be less critical and more gentle treat to poetry in script for story-telling.
