论汉语外来词中英源意译词的界定和分类

Words borrowed from other languages are all called loan words , the sense-transparent wordsis one part of loanwords.To elaborate our view, we have given a new definition to sense-transparent words, especially the sense-transparent words in Chinese, "senseloaning" is regarded as a mode and the sense-transparent words in Chinese can be defined as follows: They are loan words which we have borrowed from other languages by the mode of senseloaning. That is, in the progress of borrowing new words, Chinese people always try to "use" or "add" some meaningful symbols or morphemes to show the relation between the morphology and the meaning。The sense-transparent words redefined include the following types: traditional sense-transparent words, calques, explanative sense-transparent words, transliteration plussense-transparent words, transliteration plus native morpheme,image-imitating sense-transparen twords,coincidental sense-transparent words by transliteration，hybrids andtransliteration plus meaningful symbols.
