『天主实义』와 『聖敎要旨』의 補儒論 비교 연구

Matteo Ricci who comes to China at the end of 16th century and Lee-Beak a Korean Confucious scholar at the end 17th century are forerunners in the missionary history of Christianity's east expansion. Both of them had helped Christianity incultured in the east in the context of cross cultures. In the 『T'ien-chu Shih-i』, Matteo Ricci triedto resume the idea of Heaven in original Confucianism, he insisted by complementing Confucianism. that Christianity and Confucianism were homogeneous. Though his missionary work by methods such as Matteo Ricci could never be out of the control of western cultures as well as the theology edcation he received in the west he could analysis and interpret eastern thoughts only by applying Tomas Theology and western ideas since the ancient Greece Philosophy. Through study of 'Western Learning' by himself, Lee-Beak converted to Christianity with out any help from any foreign missionary. Furthermore he contributed a lot to the foundation of Korean Churches. His book 『Seong gyo yo ji』 was called 'Korean Book of Christian Theology' Which combined fully Christianity and Confucianism by employing Korean tongues and allegories, especially the thought of 'sincerity' to express main Christian tenets. The contemporary requirements of Christianity incultured in the east are high level while actually the work of Christian inculturatuin is still at the establishment of a systematic theology theory which fits eastern Christianity. Activities in the walks of arts and cultures are welcomed to be conducted in order ti develop diversified eastern culture as well as its position in the world cultures.
