대학생이 지각한 부모의 심리적 통제가 스마트폰 중독에 미치는 영향

The Mediating Effect of Internalized Shame and Ambivalence over Emotional Expression on the Relationship between Perceived Parental Psychological Control and Smartphone Addiction of College Students

목적 본 연구의 목적은 대학생이 지각한 부모의 심리적 통제가 스마트폰 중독의 관계에서 내면화된 수치심과 정서표현 양가성의 매개효과를 검증하는 것이다. 방법 18세 이상의 전국 대학생 400명을 대상으로 부모의 심리적 통제, 스마트폰 중독, 내면화된 수치심, 정서표현 양가성 척도를 이용하여 자기 보고식 설문을 실시하였고, 최종적으로 397부로 분석에 사용되었다. 분석방법으로는 AMOS 21.0을 활용하여 구조방정식 모델링의 방법을 통해 연구모형의 타당성 및 매개효과를 검증하였다. 결과 첫째, 부모의 심리적 통제는 내면화된 수치심, 정서표현 양가성, 스마트폰 중독과 정적으로 유의한 상관관계를 나타냈다. 다음으로 내면화된 수치심은 정서표현 양가성 및 스마트폰 중독과 정적으로 유의한 상관관계를 나타냈다. 마지막으로 정서표현 양가성은 스마트폰 중독과 정적으로 유의한 상관관계를 나타냈다. 둘째, 구조방정식 모형 검증 결과, 내면화된 수치심과 정서표현 양가성이 순차적으로 부모의 심리적 통제와 스마트폰 중독의 관계를 매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 결론 이는 대학생들의 스마트폰 중독 현상에 대한 이해와 더불어 부모로부터 심리적인 통제하에 성장하며 수치심을 경험한 내담자가 정서를 인식하고 표현할 수 있도록 돕는 등 상담에서의 효과적인 개입에 대한 기초자료 마련에 의의가 있다.

Objectives The purpose of this study was to investigate the factors influencing smartphone addiction among college students. Methods This study hypothesized the influence of perceived parental psychological control on smarphone addciton and investigated the medating role of internalized shame and ambivalence over emotional expressiveness in the relationship between perceived parental psychological control and smartphone addiction. The Structural Equation Model was analyzed with the data collected from a sample of 400 college students over 18 years old. Results Results showed that perceived parental psychological control increased internalized shame that led to increased ambivalence over emotional expressiveness. This finding clarified the relationship between perceived parental psychological control and smartphone addiction among college students. Results also indicated specific and separate pathway of internalized shame, ambivalence over emotional expressiveness and smartphone addiction. Conclusions Current study discussed implications for counseling intervention with college students who experience smartphone addiction. Discussions also include strengths and limitations of current study and suggestions for future research.ess
