Collaborative teaching of Chinese language is one of the new methods of seeking overseas Chinese language education, which seeks how it can obtain educational effects of 1+1>2 through the mutual cooperation of the teachers. This study was conducted on the actual state of collaborative teaching of Chinese language with 17 educational institutions including elementary, middle and high schools as subjects through the methods of surveys, interviews and bibliography research. As a result, in middle and high schools, collaborative teaching was provided in which Korean teachers and native teachers were in collaboration with each other, and in elementary schools, collaborative teaching was operated in the form of the division of roles. Next, as a result of an analysis of the forms of collaborative teaching most universally run in Suncheon, there were four types of collaborative teaching provided, and this study investigated and revealed the form of modification of collaborative teaching and the cause in an example of Suncheon Bokseong High School. Lastly, this study mentions the positive effects of collaborative teaching in Suncheon and parts to improve, based on the conclusion obtained, and hopefully, the results of this study will be used as references for collaborative teaching of Chinese language conducted in other regions in South Korea.
