On the basis of a brief overview of second language learning strategies theory, this paper is to assess learning strategies for Chinese language of Korean learners in second language environment and in foreign language environment, with SILL as a classical scale to assess language learning strategies. Statistics found that in both locales, social strategies were the most commonly used for Korean learners, when affective strategies and memory strategies were the most infrequently used. Cognitive strategies, social strategies, affective strategies and compensation strategies used in the target language environment were significantly more than in the foreign language environment, and the statistical data of metacognitive strategies and memory strategies in both language environments illustrate no significant difference. And some suggestions were offered to teachers to help students improve Chinese learning.
