There's something peculiar about Eileen Chang's novel <Little Reunion> as compared with her other novels in that the writer herself expresses her own ego in writing. In this novel, she just shows a self-confessional writing daringly, opening up on her personal experience regarding the taboo sex in the Chinese literary circles at that time. So then, she mentions even her personal and private life such as the inside story about her first love, sex, abortion, etc. Also, she realistically depicts her personal experience and creates with a self-reflexive critical mind. Accordingly, compared with her other works of fiction, this autobiographical novel is somewhat fresh. In the <Little Reunion>, she had opened her Pandora's Box speaking freely and frankly about her family history and private life. The self-confessional writing in Eileen Chang's novel <Little Reunion> which shows a form of self-reflective writing, is the nature of narrative discourse. Therefore, through the work <Little Reunion>, it is expected that understanding of Eileen Chang's self-confessional writing will be broaden and deepen and that its theoretical foundation will be more prepared in the study of her autobiographical novel <Little Reunion>.
