Examining the three novels on the Korean War in which Luling joined as one of the Chinese backup forces such as First Snow, The Battle in the Hollow Area and The comrade faithful to you forever, this study researches how the writer, Luling expresses 'war' and the feeling toward 'the man' in the war. About 'the man' in the war, this writing investigates the warm human character and kindness expressed in the North Koreans and the soldiers of the Chinese backup forces. By analyzing the novels, it is revealed that the Luling's thought of 'war' that although the war is a righteous one and is to help the neighboring countries, the war must not happen as the war itself has violence and makes people wretched. Luling who insists the war be for peace is criticized in publications because of these novels resistant to war. However, this criticism is not only the one caused by the difference in opinion about the war but also related with the big political event in modern Chinese history, 'Hufeng incident'. By all appearances it is the criticism on the novel, but the one broken out during the process to eliminate the 'Hufeng group'. In 1955, Luling was in jail as 'an antirevolutionary group' for 20 years and rehabilitated in 1980. After the rehabilitation, however, Luling was already a schizophrenic. The enormous political accident of modern China leads the talented writer to mental death. Through his novels resistant to war and the life, Luling invokes us to waken our mind and spirit.
