본 논문은 리스트가 어떠한 근거로 (현행 음악사에서 일반적으로 ‘프로그램음악의 반대자’로 종종 언급되고 있는) 슈만을 오히려 “시적 음악 및 프로그램음악의 선구자”로 칭하고있으며, 아울러서 음악과 문학의 통합을 자신의 음악적 이상으로 여긴 리스트가 슈만의 작품에서 그 선구적 자취를 인식한 근거와 배경을 심층적으로 논의하였다.

This essay deals with what Liszt Schumann called the “pioneer of poetic music and program music” and considered one of the seers who want to achieve the integration of music and literature. Thus, in this discussion, the findings and the background were discussed in detail, which claims Liszt in his pioneering writings about Schumann and his works.
