사이코드라마를 활용한 실존적 죽음 교육

The Use of Psychodrama in Existential Death Education

The purpose of this study is to suggest ‘an existential death education program’(EDEP) based on Existential Philosophy and the method of psychodrama. This EDEP intends to undermine modern death discourse which is biased toward life rather than death and emphasizes medical efficiency and utility of the human body on the basis of the instrumental rationality. EDEP’s educational goal is to have participant recognize his/her own anxiety of death and then reflect his/her own meaning of life. For developing EDEP, this study examines three topics as follows; the first is to examine the theory of Existential Philosophy and psychodrama; the second is to suggest a death educational manual to teachers who want to use EDEP for their students; and the third is to introduce a case study in which I applied EDEP to the students of △ University in 2022 using related English literature texts in dying, death and bereavement.
