Sound and music are disruptive factors in Greek - Christian traditions based on occularcentrism. The object of music sociology is music itself. Thus sociology of music has to set out with a discourse to legitimize sound and music. Adorno’s sociology of music is not applied sociology that applies sociology in general to the object to be music. Adorno reconstructs sociology of music with the critical discourse to the dialectic of enlightenment through his critic of the occularcentric base of Western philosophical thought.
