While the population raising companion animals is rapidly increasing and related industries are growing, social problems caused by companion animals, including dog bite accidents, are also increasing. Dog biting is an important issue for personal safety and public health, and is a major issue that causes social conflicts and costs. However, there is still a lack of accurate statistical data or research related to dog biting in Korea, and the legal system is also insufficient. In this study, after examining the current status of dog biting in Korea, related statistics, research data, and related laws in foreign countries, laws and cases that effectively reduced dog biting accidents were introduced. Then, based on this, alternatives applied to reality in Korea were presented.
