This paper is based on an in-depth analysis of 11 medium tourism and related companies’ case scenarios. It studies the impact of the Arab spring regarding employees’ losses, crisis management strategies, and the economic results of the selected businesses. The methodology consists of qualitative research through medium-term inside observation, and interviews processed using ethnographic and deductive analyses. A preeminent twofold issue arose in this study. The first is the irremediable ‘pile-up’ in businesses’ economic situation throughout a medium-term human-induced crisis along with a lack of financial support. And the second is the banking sector’s effect on the latter regarding success and failure, negative or positive presence in the scene, and their status as partners or opponents.
