본 연구는 짝 그룹 활동 중심 언어중재 미술치료를 통한 ASD 아동의 기초적인 의사소통 기술과 사회성 발달의 변화과정을 살펴보는 데 목적이 있다. 본 연구자는 이를 위해 IRB 승인을 받은 뒤 자폐스펙트럼 장애 진단을 받은 2명의 학령기 아동을 대상으로 사전·사후 검사를 포함하여 주 2회, 회기당 40분씩, 총 20회 진행하였다. 연구자는 ASD 아동의 의사소통 기술과 사회성을 살펴보기 위하여 한국 아동 메타-화용언어검사와 이화-자폐아동 행동발달 평가도구를 활용하였으며, 단계별 회기 분석을 하였다. 그 결과, 짝 그룹 활동 중심 언어중재 미술치료는 ASD 아동의 기초적인 의사소통 기술과 사회성 발달에 긍정적인 변화를 가져옴을 확인하였다. 본 연구는 국내 ASD 아동 대상 짝 그룹 활동 중심 언어중재 미술치료의 새로운 개입 방향 및 가능성을 제시함에 의의를 지닌다.
This study utilizes a pair-activity-oriented language intervention art therapy and examines the changes in basic communication skills and social development in children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). For this, the researcher obtained IRB approval and conducted a total of 20 sessions, 40 minutes per session, twice a week, including the pre- and post-tests, with two school-aged children diagnosed with ASD. To examine the communication skills and sociability of children with ASD, the researcher used the Korean Meta-Pragmatic Language Assessment for Children and the EWHA-Check List for Autistic Children and conducted a regression analysis by step. The results showed that pair-activity-oriented language intervention art therapy positively changed the basic communication skills and social development of children with ASD. This study is significant in that it suggests a new direction and possibility of pair-activity-oriented language intervention art therapy for children with ASD in Korea.
