불안정 성인애착과 우울의 관계

The influence of insecure adult attachment on depression: The mediating effect of internalized shame and mentalization

목적 본 연구에서는 불안정 성인애착과 우울의 관계에서 내면화된 수치심과 정신화의 매개역할을 확인하고자 하였다. 방법 이를 위해 전국의 20~50대 성인 380명을 대상으로 성인애착, 내면화된 수치심, 정신화, 우울을 측정하기 위한 온라인 설문을 진행하였으며, 연구대상자 모집은 전문 조사 기관에 의뢰하여 연구 동의를 받은 후 진행하였다. 불성실한 응답을 제외한 총 371부에 대해 SPSS PROCESS MACRO를 사용하여 자료를 분석하였다. 결과 첫째, 애착불안, 애착회피와 내면화된 수치심, 정신화, 우울의 상관분석 결과에서 모두 유의한 상관을 나타냈다. 둘째, 애착불안, 애착회피와 우울의 관계에서 내면화된 수치심, 정신화의 매개효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 애착불안과 우울의 관계에서 내면화된 수치심과 정신화의 순차매개효과는 나타나지 않았다. 넷째, 애착회피와 우울의 관계에서 내면화된 수치심과 정신화의 순차매개효과가 나타났다. 결론 본 연구는 애착불안이 우울에 영향을 미치는 과정에서 내면화된 수치심과 정신화의 완전 매개효과를 확인하였으며 애착회피가 우울에 영향을 미치는 과정에서 내면화된 수치심과 정신화의 순차매개효과를 확인하였다는데 의의가 있다.

Objectives The purpose of this study was to verify the mediating effects of internalized shame and mentalization in the relationship between insecure adult attachment (attachment anxiety, attachment avoidance) and depression. Methods For that purpose, 317 adults across the country were surveyed to measure adult attachment, internalized shame, mentalization, depression. SPSS Process Macro was used to analyze the data. Results First, attachment anxiety, attachment avoidance, internalized shame, mentalization, depression all showed significant correlations. Second, The mediating effect of internalized shame and mentalization in the relationship between attachment anxiety, attachment avoidance and depression was significant. Third, The sequential mediating effect of internalized shame and mentalization in the relationship between attachment anxiety and depression was not significant. Fourth, The sequential mediating effect of internalized shame and mentalization in the relationship between attachment avoidance and depression was significant. Conclusions This study confirmed the complete mediating effect of internalized shame and mentalization in the process of attachment anxiety affecting depression, and confirmed the sequential mediating effect of internalized shame and mentalization in the process of attachment avoidance affecting depression.
