The purpose of this paper is to suggest the group reading mode for integrative teaching and interaction among students in the classroom. The characteristics of group reading are 1) the comprehension process of the texts which group members participate in together, 2) the scaffolding among group members, 3) interaction among students and skills integration while reading. The group reading mode embodies student-centered teaching and maximizes interaction while practicing reading. By placing much value on these points we suggest group reading as a complimentary mode for individual reading and discuss the instruction plan and group work management.
