This study is an error analysis of the Chinese learner’s language. Using auditory judgement and acoustic materials, I analyzed the phonetic value of the Korean syllable final consonants. Learners used omission or replacement strategy in order to syllable final consonants. Syllable final unvoiced consonants was replaced by correspondent nasals or explosives. If the syllable final consonants are /n, ŋ/, proceeding vowels are changed the phonetic value. In the learner’s language, every syllable has similar duration. A large percentage of errors was due to the interlingual transfer. We should include the phoneme combination constraints in the contrastive analysis and teach the shortening the vowel of the closed syllable.
