My thesis is an analysis of the Korean Language textbook to make it more accessible to Chinese lecrurers and learners. I did a survey a number of professors and students on the Korean Language textbook published by Peiking University for two months in 2004, which helps me to understand the merits and defects of the structure and content of the textbook. Several things should be considered for a better revision; first, sub-text on the web site is necessary for mutual communication between lecrurers and learners; second, most Chinese have difficulty in learning the consonants, and ; third, it’s better to learn the honorific form of Korean before learning the normal form though the former is more complicated and harder than the latter; fourth, it’s recommendable to teach literary texts at the beginner’s level if they illustrate reasonable vocabulary and grammar; fifth, students like practicing translation at the drill section with the knowledge learned from each chapter; six, lecrurers need teacher’s manual; last, learners prefer exciting topics and want to learn young Koreans’ culture and way of thought.
