Language teachers are required to have educator character, linguistic character, and the character as a linguistic educator. Korean language teacher should be fluent in Korean language, and have thorough knowledge of diversity of Korean language. To communicate with students, educators should know English and the learner’s mother tongue so that can do the contrastive linguistic comparison approach from the level of bilingual learners. As a language educator, these four areas are required: technical knowledge, pedagogical skills, interpersonal skills, and personal qualities. To sum up above all, The language teacher teaches by his or her mouth, with his or her body, through brains, and heart. The teacher education of the 21st century should head for field-based, problem-centered, technology-driven, experimental sharing, developmental, competency-based, expertly staffed, and open-ended attitude. Three conditions of the good education are like these: consistent instruction, relevant instruction, and efficient instruction. Class inspection can develop the ability of teachers. The competent teachers are not afraid of class inspection, and overcome the stress from the evaluation by taking it as a good chance to improve themselves. Teachers should try to develop themselves in self-ability, colleague, students, curriculum, teaching materials, and teaching methods actively. The institutes should encourage the growth of teachers in various aspects.
