Several Korean language education programs for foreigners and overseas Koreans have been produced and broadcasted on television since late 1990’s. This study aims at reviewing these programs and analyzing them in aspects of broadcasting and Korean language education. In the aspect of broadcasting, the object, arrangement, information, contents and management of the programs are examined. In the aspects of Korean language education, syllabuses, approaches, language skills, materials, teaching language and cultural elements of the programs are examined. Finally, this study suggests the directions of developing the future Korean language education programs on television.
