This study discusses the Adjunct Language Instruction(ALI) as an educational model for the Korean for Academic Purpose(KAP). Based on the needs analysis performed in the field, it suggests an illustrative ALI for the students majoring in business. More concretely, it performs the language register investigation and the discourse analysis along with the examination of the language-functional learning activities and suggests the illustration applying the ALI in reality. This study also shows the ALI structure consisting of the main instructor, online lectures, secondary teaching by the language instructor and the personal tutor with their respective functions. Finally, it classifies the content-based instruction(CBI) model for KAP into such stages as the pre-university, the undergraduate with liberal lectures and the undergraduate with major areas and applies the ALI to the last stage.
