The research of this paper focuses on the hypertext, which has been introduced upon the development of computer and internet, with a view to searching for the methodology of teaching KFL (Korean as a foreign language) composition, making use of the hypertext. In the first place, this paper studies the necessity for the hypertext to be brought into class. To this end, it conducted questionnaires to college students with regard to the hypertext composition, thereby figuring out the differences between the paper-and-pen composition and the hyptertext composition. It turns out that there is less of reconsidering and planning with more of editing in the hypertext than in the paper-and-pen. In addition to this result, such abilities as the interaction between the writer and discourse community or the adaptability and proficiency at hypermedia prove to be influential on making compositions. Based on these findings, this paper proposes a model of hypertext composition and a method of applying this model to the KFL composition class.
