The Korean-Applied Values and Models: In a Advanced Level Korean Teaching as a Foreign Language

This paper aims at searching for the effective ways of teaching Korean to the advanced learners who are familiar with its basic grammars and cultural situations. The application of Korean literary works to the language education plays an important role for understanding of the Korean emotion, culture, and history. Among various genres of literary art, poetry has been discussed in this paper as the focus of my concern. The Korean language education that makes the best use of poems will pave the way for providing the advanced level students with a great chance for more active through learning Korean. This paper presents practical ways of the teaching of poems that can be implemented in the Korean classes. This paper showed practical plan of poems in Korean classes because a literary work should be considered as a subject of experience in emotional level as well as a subject of learning in linguistic level. Therefore this paper focuses on the effective methods of poetry education in Korean classes in the advanced level.
