A Teaching Model of Korean Dialogues: Question and Answer Type

I have three targets for this study. First of all, what kind of QAT in the Korean textbooks and Korean dialogues? Second, why Korean language users make different QAT in their dialogues very easily. Thirdly, how Korean language users understand different QAT in their dialogues very quickly. For those questions, I will discuss the characteristics of Korean dialogues such as rules and principles of the QAT, and I will explain the structure and system of the each QAT in everyday language. And I also present the model of Korean QAT and their usage based upon my database. After that I will present a teaching model of Korean QAT that can be applied to Korean language teaching particularly to foreigners. And I will suggest an appropriate answer to how Korean language users can cognitively process the right meanings of QAT dialogues, even in different contexts in the real world and how Korean language users can encode all the kinds of information in the QAT dialogues. Data in this paper come from spoken language in everyday language, especially informal talks and conversations. The data in the database is from many sources and situations (e.g. classroom talk, telephone talk, house talk, etc.). And I select the data from written language in the Korean textbook for foreigners. The results can be applied to pedagogical areas such as the following: developing teaching materials/ textbooks/ contents, training of conversation skills, promoting communicative ability in Korean language education. In addition, the model of QAT that I present can be applied to linguistic studies: pragmatics, sociolinguistics, linguistics, language teaching and so on.
