This study attempted to develop self-management scales for beauty professionals and verify their validity. For this, a survey was performed against 412 beauty professionals, and data were collected and analysis. Then, the results found the followings: First, based on self-management construct for beauty professionals, 59 questions in 6 categories were prepared. The collected data were analyzed by item analysis, exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). The 6 categories include Health Management, Skills Management, Non-contact Management, Appearance Management and Knowledge Management. Second, to verify the validity of self-management scales for beauty professionals (25 questions in 6 categories), construct validity and predictive validity were analyzed. Since standardized regression coefficients, average variance extracted (AVE) and construct reliability (CR) met the convergence requirements of previous studies, convergent validity was secured. In addition, discriminant validity was confirmed because AVE was higher than latent variable square. Furthermore, predictive validity was supported since statistically significant influence was observed in relationships between organizational commitment and self-efficacy.
