The purpose of this study is to establish core constructs for Korean Listening Tests for Academic purposes(KoLTA) based on listening comprehension theory, construct for domestic and international listening tests, and expert Delphi survey. Through previous studies and international listening tests, this study suggested the following four constructs of Korean listening tests for academic purposes: factual listening comprehension, inferential listening comprehension, critical listening comprehension, listening strategies to learn. These four constructs gained content validity through an expert Delphi survey. In addition, through the Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP) of expert Delphi, it was confirmed that there was a difference in core construct according to the type of discourse of listening to conversations about life and studies on campus, listening to a presentation, listening discussion, listening to a lecture.
