In the current Korean pronunciation education, the application of multiple phonological rules is rarely covered within the educational content. However, there are many Korean words that realize actual pronunciation through the application of multiple phonological rules, and there are many foreign learners who require education on multiple phonological rules application. Therefore, it is necessary to develop the education of the application of multiple phonological rules. Since it is possible to educate the multiple phonological rules only when the types are defined, the purpose of this study is to set the types. In this paper, 28 types of multiple phonological rules application were set mainly by analyzing the words in the “Standard Pronunciation” in accordance with the setting standards and principles established in consideration of the nature of Korean language education and the characteristics of multiple phonological rules application. Furthermore, their educational effectiveness was presented.
