The purpose of this study is to examine co-teaching Korean as a method of foreign language education and build lesson plans by implementing co-teaching methods in Korean classroom settings. Co-teaching in Korean classes is being used to educate students from multicultural families in Korea on a mere trial basis. Co-teaching based on intertextuality has shown to fill the gap in communication between teachers and learners that may occur in Korean language classes, which has a positive effect on learners’ achievement in learning Korean. In the former sections of the study, the concept of co-teaching and its cases have been introduced. Substantial improvements of what co-teaching can deliver to Korean language education have also been found. In the latter part of the study, lesson plans implemented in the actual co-teaching Korean class has been presented, and the satisfaction level of teachers and students in co-teaching were found to be much higher than that of normal Korean classes. This research would provide a necessary guide to establish the role of distribution, responsibilities, scope, and limitations of teachers participating in future co-teaching Korean classes.
