Estimating the Life-cycle of Stanadard and Nonstandard Work

본 연구는 종합코호트분석을 이용하여 고용형태의 연령프로파일을 추정하였다. 고용형태에는 연령효과와 코호트효과가 있었던 것으로 나타났다. 즉 20~30대일 때에는 정규직 고용의 비중이 높지만 연령이 많아짐에 따라 점차 비정규직 고용 또는 자영업으로 이동했다. 또한 후속세대의 경우 이전 세대에 비해 정규직 고용의 비중은 높았다. 이는 비정규직 고용의 비중이 감소했기 때문이라기보다 자영업자의 비중이 감소했기 때문이다.

This article analyzes life-cycle of standard and nonstandard workers. Age-profiles of employment status are estimated by the synthetic cohort analysis. We find the age effects and the cohort effects. As workers are getting older, they move from standard workers to nonstandard or self-employed. Also, proportions of standard workers in younger cohorts are higher than older ones. It is mainly due to the decrease of workers moving from standard work to the self-employed, not that of workers moving from standard work to nonstandard.
