The purpose of this research is to survey the need for designing a Korean language curriculum of medical tourism coordinators for foreigners, and to apply the curriculum after analyzation. 60 Korean educational task objectives about speaking, listening, reading, and writing, associated with medical tourism, were selected to achieve the purpose, followed by investigating and analyzing importances of those objectives. The study resulted in the following. First, Korean curriculum for medical tourism should contain characteristics of Korean for vocational purposes, which includes vocational Korean and pre-vocational Korean. Second, the curriculum should be more focused on medical care than tourism. Third, the curriculum should prioritize speaking and listening over reading and writing. (Ewha Womans University)
