한류문화영토의 발전 방향에 관한 연구

A Study on Developmental Direction of Korean Wave Cultural Territory: Focusing on the concept of cultural commonland

한류문화가 세계적 팬덤(fandom)을 형성하면서 이를 문화적 침략으로 보는 반한류·혐한류의 정서(情緖)도 함께 심화하고 있다. 한류를 통한 문화영토 확장은 일견 환영할 만한 일이지만, 이로 인한 반감은 분명 부담스러운 일임에 틀림없다. 본 연구는 한류 문화영토의 발전 방향을 주제로 한 연구로 기존의 문화영토의 개념을 한층 심화·발전시킨 문화공토(文化共土)라는 개념을 새로운 패러다임으로 제시하였다. 문화를 토대로 한민족생활 공간의 일체가 문화영토라면, 문화공토는 한국과 세계 각국(한류문화 진출국)이 함께 공유하는 문화영토를 의미한다. 과거 한류정책은 한국문화의 해외 수출을 통해 우리의 문화영토를 확장하고 경제적 이익을 얻는 데 주력하였다. 반면, 새로운 패러다임인 문화공토는 한국과 세계 각국이 한류문화라는 키워드를 중심으로 공존, 공영하는 공동의 문화영토를 만들고자 함이며, 그 핵심에는 상호문화에 대한 존중이 자리하고 있다. 이를 구체화하기 위해 본 연구에서는 ① 문화공토로의 패러다임 전환의 유도, ② 한류와 현지문화가 결합된 하이브리드 문화콘텐츠구축, ③ 한류 진출 주체의 사회적 책임 준수, ④ 한류 진출국의 문화적 성장을 주도하는 캠페인 전개, ⑤ 해외 한류체험관의 구축 등을 한류 문화영토 발전을 위한 구체적인 방안으로 제언하였다.

As the Korean Wave culture forms a global fandom, the anti-Korean and anti-Korean sentiment, which sees it as a cultural invasion, is also deepening. The expansion of cultural territory through the Korean Wave is welcome at first glance, but the antipathy must be burdensome. This study is a study on the development direction of the Korean Wave cultural territory, and presented the concept of cultural commonland, which further deepened and developed the concept of the existing cultural territory, as a new paradigm. If all of the national living spaces based on culture are cultural territories, cultural commonland refer to cultural territories shared by Korea and countries around the world (Korean Wave Culture Advancement Countries). In the past, the Korean Wave policy focused on expanding our cultural territory and obtaining economic benefits through overseas exports of Korean culture. On the other hand, the new paradigm, cultural commonland, aims to create a common cultural territory in which Korea and countries around the world coexist and share the keyword korean wave culture, and at its core lies respect for mutual culture. To materialize this, this study suggested inducing a paradigm shift to cultural territory, establishing hybrid cultural contents that combine korean wave and local culture, complying with the social responsibility of korean wave participants, developing campaigns leading the cultural growth of korean wave countries, and establishing overseas korean wave experience centers.
