A Study on the Operation Efficiency of Global Logistics Companies Using Network DEA :Focusing on Korean logistics companies

The purpose of this study is to identify the comparative advantage of Korean logistics companies through comparison and analysis of efficiency between Korean logistics companies and global logistics companies. To this end, Network DEA analysis was conducted by selecting 30 global logistics companies and Korean logistics companies based on sales of Armstrong and Associate Inc in 2021. In this study, there are 4 companies with a VRS value of 1: ZTO Express, LX Pantos, Maersk, and NTG Nordic Transport, and only one company with a CRS value of 1 is Maersk. As a result of the study, Maersk was identified as the most efficient company, and among Korean logistics companies, Hyundai Glovis took first place, but remained in sixth place among all companies. This study has academic significance as a comparative analysis of efficiency using Network DEA between Korean logistics companies and representative logistics companies in Europe, North America, and Asia. In addition, it is practically meaningful in that it analyzed and presented the comparative advantages and disadvantages of Korean logistics companies by comparing the efficiency between Korean logistics companies and excellent global logistics companies.
