A Study on Development of Foreign Short-term Korean Language and Culture Education for Volunteers

The purpose of this study is to provide foundational material about program development of foreign short-term Korean language and culture education for volunteers focusing on Korea IT Volunteers. A research about organization, a questionnaire which was based on a small group interview, needs analysis for learners and analysis of text books and relevant to prior researches were conducted for needs analysis. On the basis of the analysis, this study presents a teacher-educating program for volunteers and syllabus of foreign short-term Korean language and culture education. The syllabus for the language is designed based on lexicon(expression), and the syllabus for the culture includes Han-ryu, Korean traditional games, making Korean food and so on. (Yonsei University)
