한국어 교육에서 트위터(Twitter) 사용의 교육적 효과

This study aims to explore the possibility of using Twitter in Korean education and to describe the educational effect of Twitter on Korean education. To accomplish this job I have investigated how students use Twitter for learning Korean, their perception on Twitter and whether incidental vocabulary learning has occurred after using it. 15 students who registered for intermediate Korean lesson participated in this study. After performing tasks using Twitter, a questionnaire and oral interview were administered to participants to elicit their perception of Twitter. For investigating the effect of Twitter on incidental vocabulary learning Vocabulary Knowledge Scale(VKS) was reported. According to the result of this study, students used Twitter for communicating with their class mates. Thus we confirmed that they used Twitter as a tool of forming social network. Students could recognize new vocabulary when they read the posts in Twitter. However, incidental vocabulary learning did not occur.
