저출산 문제에 관한 개혁신학적 고려

The Issue of Low Fertility in Korea from the Perspective of Reformed Theology

본 논문은 한국 사회가 직면한 저출산이라는 문제를 극복하기 위한 신학적 대안을 제시하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 그동안 저출산 문제는 주로 저출산의 사회문화적이거나 경제적인 원인에서 다루어졌지만, 신학적인 관점에서 다룬 것은 많지 않다. 저출산 문제에 대한 문제를 다루기 위해서는 출산의 당위성에 대한 성경적 검토가 먼저 이루어져야 한다. 성경은 출산은 선택이 아니라 의무이며 축복이라고 말한다. 결혼과 출산은 하나님의 언약공동체가 하나님의 구원역사를 계승하는 것이다. 교회는 생애 주기별 교육을 통해 어린 시절부터 성경적 가치관을 가지고 살아갈 수있도록 도와야 한다. 가치관이 형성되는 시기에 있는 청소년들에게 결혼과 출산에 대한 올바른 이해를 갖도록 교육해야 한다. 교회는 결혼을 앞둔 예비부부들에게 자녀를 낳고 양육하는 일의 소중함을 인식하도록 그리고 부모들이 책임감과 긍지를 기를 수 있도록 가르쳐 주어야 한다. 가정은 신앙교육이 전수되는 중요한 언약 계승의 장소이다. 부모는 자녀에게 선조들과 자신에게 함께 하셨던 하나님을 증거하고, 자녀들이 말씀 안에서 올바로 살아가도록 가르쳐야 한다. 교회는 아버지가 가정에서 언약의 전달자로서의 아버지의 역할이 회복될 수 있도록 도와야 한다.

The purpose of this thesis is to present a theological response to the problem of low birthrates faced by Korean society. Tackling the problem of low birthrates will first require a biblical review of the justification for childbirth. The Bible argues that childbirth is not a choice but rather a duty and a blessing. Marriage and childbirth are the means of God's salvation work by God's covenant community. It is the Church’s duty to help people live in line with biblical values from childhood through education about life cycles. It is necessary to educate teenagers so that they have a correct understanding of marriage and childbirth, at a time when their values are being formed. The Church should also teach prospective couples to recognize the importance of having and raising children, and teach parents to develop a sense of responsibility and pride in their roles. The family is an important place for the succession of the covenant, where faith education is passed down. Parents must testify to their children about the God who has been with them and their ancestors and teach their children to live uprightly within the Word. The Church needs to help fathers rediscover their roles as the messenger of the covenant within their families.
