음악줄넘기운동을 통한 초등학교아동의 사회성발달 효과

The Effect on Social Development of Elementary School Children on Music JumpRope Exercise

본 연구는 음악줄넘기 운동이 초등학교 아동의 사회성 발달 효과를 알아보기 위하여 인천광역시 소재 S초등학교 5학년 2개 학급 60명을 표집 하였다. 표집대상은 10주간의 음악줄넘기 운동을 실시하는 실험집단 30명과 음악줄넘기를 하지 않고 체육교육과정에 맞추어 정규수업을 실시하는 비교집단 30명으로 하여 사전 검사와 사후 검사를 실시하였다. 수집된 자료의 분석방법으로는 SPSS 12.0통계 프로그램으로 ANCOVA, t-test를 실시하여 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 첫째, 실험집단에서 성별에 따른 전체적인 사회성발달은 남녀 성별에 대한 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났으나, 사회성발달의 하위영역 5개중 ‘자율성’ 부분에서는 남학생이 높게 발달 하였다. 둘째, 실험집단과 비교집단에 있어서는 사회성발달의 사전검사에서 두 집단이 비슷한 결과를 보여 동질 집단이었으나, 사후검사에서는 실험집단이 사회성 발달의 모든 하위영역에서 우수한 것으로 밝혀졌다. 이와 같은 결과를 종합해 볼 때 초등학생의 음악줄넘기 운동이 사회성 발달과 그 하위 영역에도 효과가 있다는 것이 증명되었다. 이러한 결과는 동료들과 음악줄넘기 운동을 하면서 상호 작용하는 시간이 많아지므로 서로 협동하는 가운데 인간관계가 원활하게 형성된 결과라고 사료된다.

The purpose of this study was to examine the impact of music jumprope exercise on children's social development. The participants in this study were 60 students in two different fifth-grade classes in S elementary school located in the city of Incheon. They were divided into experimental group and control group with 30 development each. The experimental group was exposed music jumprope during a 10- weeks period of time, and the control group just took normal physical education. Pretest and post-test were implemented, and the collected data were analyzed with SPSS 12.0 program. ANCOVA and t-test were utilized. The findings of the study were as follows: First, regarding relations between gender and overall social development, there was no significant mean difference between the boys and girls, but the boys showed better improvement in autonomy, one of five social sub-areas, than the girls. Second, the pretest results showed that the experimental and control groups were equivalent, but the experimental group made better progress in the post-test than the control group. The former was far better than the latter in every subarea of sociability. The above-mentioned findings illustrated that music jumprope had an evident effect on children's social development. The mutual cooperation contributed to their interpersonal relationship because they had more time to interact with one another in the course of getting music jumprope together.
