섬 관광 활성화를 위한 민화 속 화훼도상의 상징성 활용방안

본 연구는 민화 속 화훼 소재를 대상으로 화훼도상의 상징성이 의미하는 바를 살펴보고, 최근 섬 관광 활성화를 꾀하고자 하는 지방정부의 해양관광콘텐츠로서 치유성을 극대화 한 민화 속 화훼도상의 상징성 활용방안을 제시하고자 한다. 특히, 섬 지역의 관광산업은 낙후되고소외된 지역경제의 활성화 및 지역 이미지 개선의 효율적 수단이 되고 있다는 점에서 민화속 화훼도상의 상징성을 적극적으로 활용할 시점이다. 이와 같이 섬 관광 활성화를 위한 민화속 화훼도상의 상징성 활용을 위해서는 섬지역의 특화된 꽃 축제와 관련된 민화 속 화훼도상 관광상품을 만들고, 민화 관련 고유문화 와 전통을 살리기 위한 노력이 동시에 필요한 시점이다. 이는 본 연구는 민화 속 화훼가 감정과 의사를 표현하는 은유적 의사소통수단이라고 주장하면서 이러한 가정을 검증하여 섬 관광 활성화를 위해‘꽃’을 활용하는 지방정부의 해양관광콘텐츠를 다양화 하는데 기여하고자 한다. 연구대상으로 민화 속 화훼의 상징성을 분석하고우리 선조의 꿈과 염원을 분석 하였다. 이를 통해 섬관광활성화를 위한 지방정부의 해양관광콘텐츠로서 치유성이 강한 민화 속 화훼의 상징성을 꽃 축제에 적용하여 적극적으로 활용하기 위한 방안을 제시하였다.
