A Study on the Role of Regional Cultural Development - Focusing on Gwangsan Living Culture Center -

The purpose of this study is to present the necessity of a living culture center while examining the background and actual condition of the living culture center, which is a local cultural institution closely related to the region and is being implemented based on the <Local Culture Promotion Act> enacted in 2014. The research method was carried out through literature review and survey statistics targeting policy reports and previous research data. The effectiveness of the living and cultural center for the development of local culture was suggested through a study on the operation status and support projects of the Gwangsan Life and Culture Center. Based on the analysis of the importance and operational status of the most important life and culture center that informs local culture, we will try to find out the implications that can play a role as resident autonomy, space utilization, resident participation, regional cultural policy development, and cultural space.
