This study aims to analyze the type of spacing errors to improve the quality of text. So, the text was analyzed from translation classes of science and technology for 4 years, focusing on the spacing of Korean translated text. The analysis results show that errors in spacing related to nouns and verbs occur frequently. The proportion was 18 for nouns and 28 for verbs, which is 74.2% and 15%, respectively. Errors caused by not spacing were more frequent, with 132 cases, than spacing errors in words which don’t need spacing, with 34 cases. The most frequent errors were in the ‘noun+noun’ type, with fewer errors in the ‘noun+bound noun’, ‘determiner+noun’, ‘verb+verb’, and ‘verb+verb ending’ types. Also, students seemed to struggle for words with the same from but different functions. Based on the analysis, it is expected that translator trainers can provide useful information learners so that they can produce text without spacing errors.
