This study analyzed three poems written by Dong-ju Yoon, namely “A New Way,” “A Youth,” and “Antoher Morning at the Beginning” by focusing on two research questions. First, does the structure of the poems remain intact in translation? Second, how are the omitted Korean subjects in the original texts translated? Lee & Lee(2022) preserved the structure of the original texts better than Richards & Richard(2003) except ‘A Boy’. In machine translations, Google Translate failed to recognize the structure of “A Boy.” However, apart from this poem, both Google Translate and ChatGPT preserved the structure of the original texts. When there was an omitted subject in ST, Richards & Richards(2003) incorporated more of the translator's interpretation compared to Lee & Lee(2022). However, in machine translations, Google Translate translated the omitted subject in the original texts as an imperative, while ChatGPT translated it as a participle.
