Canadian First Nations People's history and culture is little known area of Canadian studies in Korea. While economics, languages, ESL, international trade, and politics are areas mainly covered by Canadian studies, First Nations history and culture, geography, and natural history of diverse landscape of Canada are subjects rarely covered in this journal and by Korean scholars of Canadian studies. First Nations people in Canada are an integral part of Canadian national identity. Their diverse culture has been emerged as new area of studies in many respects. Their traditional life style and the way they used natural resources imply sustainable environmental management for modern society. Their rich cultural tradition expressed in forms of arts, music and dance contribute to world's cultural diversity. Understanding First Nations culture and history is an integral part of Canadian studies in Korea as well as understanding Canada.
