This paper is a narrative research proposal for inquiring how adolescent students temporally living in Canada construct their identities through into their stories of international students. It also aims to show how a narrative inquiry can be prepared before having interview conversations with participants. Sections composing this paper are as follows. Firstly, narrative beginnings: my daughter’s and my stories of living in Cadada as international students. Secondly, introduction for the research context, the research purpose, and research puzzles. Thirdly, theoretical framework: identities (social identity and language-related identity); experiences as life; research perspective. Fourthly, conceptual framework: ontological and epistemological stance. Finally, methodology: description about method of narrative inquiry by Clandinin & Connelly(2000).
